These bylaws were approved by the PTSA membership at the September 7, 2010 meeting, then amended and re-approved by the NCPTA Board of Directors on May 28, 2025.

Teacher & Staff Grants
To support our teachers, staff, and students, the PTSA provides grants for professional development, instructional tools and services, and club needs that align with our mission and have the greatest positive effect on MPMS students.
Eligibility
MPMS teachers and staff who are members of the MPMS PTSA.
Award limits

| Club | Up to $150 | July 1 – June 30 |
Individual limits may be increased depending on budgeted fund availability in the last quarter of the school year.
Apply
- Grant Application — 2025-26 (PDF) — the 2026-27 application will be posted when available
Most favorable grant applications include requests that:
- Enhance the curriculum and educational experience for as many students as possible
- Cover fees and materials associated with PD opportunities (travel, lodging, and meals are not eligible)
- Provide additional relevant educational experiences and/or further improve the quality of the learning environment
- Are durable for continued use over multiple school years (non-durable items will also be considered)
- Are not easily donated by classroom parents (such as general office supplies)
- Could not or would not be otherwise provided by MPMS or WCPSS
Grants are only awarded for costs incurred during the current budget year (July 1 – June 30).
PTSA Admin Forms
For board members and committee chairs.
- Check Request Form (DOC) — submit to the treasurer for reimbursements or vendor payments. Include all receipts, invoices, and order forms.
- Funds Received Form (DOC) — accompany any cash or checks submitted to the PTSA treasurer.

Wake PTA SEIC & Special Education
Wake County PTA Special Education and Inclusion Committee (SEIC) provides information about upcoming workshops, events, and inclusion efforts in Wake County and around the country.
